De KolenkitKas is een flexibele ruimte die steeds kan veranderen. Een plek om samen te komen, noodzakelijk in een betonnen stad van eilanden. Een ruimte waar dingen groeien: connecties, planten, concepten van programma. Een plek waar structureel activiteiten zijn, maar altijd ruimte is voor het moment. Gedragen en beheerd door bewoners uit de Kolenkitbuurt.
Huisregels
Het is mogelijk om de KolenkitKas voor jouw eigen feest te gebruiken. Maar we hebben een paar belangrijke huisregels. De belangrijkste is nummer 1.
De KolenkitKas is een publieke ruimte die toegankelijk is voor iedereen. Je mag de KolenkitKas voor je eigen borrel, feestje of bijeenkomst gebruiken, maar het evenement moet toegankelijk zijn voor andere buurtbewoners.
De KolenkitKas mag tot 22.00 uur worden gebruikt. De KolenkitKas moet de volgende dag om 10.00 uur leeg te zijn voor de volgende verhuring.
Muziek is toegestaan, maar niet te hard. Houd er rekening mee dat de Kas in een binnentuin is waar ook mensen wonen. Een springkussen neerzetten is geen goed idee.
Als je de Kas gebruikt, ben jij verantwoordelijk: schade moet je zelf betalen. Het kan gebeuren dat er schade is waar je niets aan kan doen. Meld dit altijd, dan lossen we het samen op.
Laat de Kas achter zoals je haar aantreft.
Huur
We hanteren verschillende prijzen voor de huur van de Kas. Zo hopen we toegankelijk te blijven maar genoeg inkomen te generen om te blijven bestaan. Schat zelf in wat je kan besteden, een bewijs is niet nodig.
€0 – Je hebt zin in een feestje maar weinig te besteden, om wat voor reden dan ook. Boek de Kas gratis en organiseer je event hier.
€25 – Voor €25 betaal je de onkosten van de Kas, wij houden er niets aan over maar verliezen er ook niet op.
€50 – Betaal €50 en je draagt er aan bij dat de Kas blijft bestaan – denk aan kosten van schoonmaak, website, communicatie. Deze prijs voor jou als je genoeg geld hebt om af en toe een koffie to go te halen / uit eten te gaan / een rondje te geven in het café.
€75 – Betaal €75 als je genoeg budget hebt om voor je feestje of event ook catering of aankleding te huren. Je draagt niet alleen bij aan het onderhoud & programmering van de Kas maar ook aan de huur voor mensen die minder te besteden hebben.
€100 – Ben je een organisatie, bedrijf, stichting of krijg je subsidie voor iets wat je in de Kas organiseert? Dan betaal je €100.
Hout
Wil je hout stoken? Dit kan je zelf meenemen of een zak kopen bij ons van 12,50 euro per zak.

We voelen je en we helpen je! Om elkaar te ondersteunen in deze 3 uur durende strijd gaan we een experiment aan: Zomergasten live kijken in de KolenkitKas!
We starten met dit experiment op zondag 24 augustus, want dan is onze favoriete burgermeester te gast.
Dus schuif vanaf 20 uur aan, neem een drankje mee en geniet samen met ons van een heerlijke avond kwaliteiteit-tv in concentratie.

INTRODUCTION
For nearly a decade, conceptual and performance artist Lisette Ros also has developed and delivered curricula, workshops, and performative lectures that merge artistic research with knowledge exchange. Her practice is deeply rooted in exploring the construction of identity, gender performativity, the fluidity of self-perception, and the invisible structures that shape daily life. Through workshops such as The Construction of Identity, The Fluidity Thereof, Your Self?, and Your Roots, she creates collective spaces where participants engage in critical inquiry, embodiment, and cultural reflection.
Beyond workshop facilitation, Ros actively engages in cultural entrepreneurship by forging long-term partnerships, interdisciplinary networks, and institutional collaborations, sharing en building relationships around the globe. Through this ongoing integration of artistic practice, education, and cultural exchange, Ros seeks to challenge conventional narratives, question box-thinking, and explore new modes of perception —both individually and collectively.
ROUGH OUTLINE WORKSHOP DAY Your Time
The workshop day Your Time taking place at the Kolenkitkas in Amsterdam West is a try-out for this brand-new workshop exploring the multifaceted concept of time—its structures, perceptions, and embodied experiences. Through movement, observation and material-based exploration, participants will engage with various notions of time, including:
• Chronos: clock-time, structured and linear.
• Kairos: empty time.
• Bodily time, psychological time, biological rhythms.
• The weight and passing of time, timing and momentum.
This workshop follows a practice-based and personal approach, integrating individual and collective explorations on the basis of exercises related to our senses, and inspired by known and unknown (performance) artists working with time.
Ros: "I will work closely with participants, offering personal attention and fostering an environment for deep exploration. Deconstruction will serve as an entry point, allowing us to reconstruct through shared and personal experiences. I will also contribute my own vulnerabilities, body and experiences.
I expect the freedom of using your own mind, commitment, inner- and outer body, personal creativity and individual techniques from the participants."
This workshop is a process-driven experience.

Break The Silence
Break The Silence is een initiatief van singer-songwriter Lany K. om buurtbewoners te helpen hun stem te laten horen en met hun dromen aan de slag te gaan. Lany K. werkt hierbij samen met kunstenaar, podcast- en radiomaker Jesper Buursink, bekend van o.a.BNN, VARA, NTR en VPRO die een droomboom op de ramen van de KolenkitKas tekent, waarin buurtbewoners hun dromen kunnen tekenen.
Deze avond heeft als doel een veilige ruimte te bieden waar deelnemers hun dromen en ambities kunnen uiten. Met livemuziek van Lany K. over zelfliefde, verlies en veerkracht worden bezoekers aangemoedigd om hun droom op te schrijven of te tekenen op het kunstwerk, dat in de KolenkitKas zal blijven staan als een blijvende herinnering aan de avond.

Break The Silence aims to help local residents make their voices heard and get to work on their dreams. Lany K. collaborates with artist, podcast and radio maker Jesper Buursink, known from BNN, VARA, NTR and VPRO, who has drawn a dream tree on the windows of the KolenkitKas, in which local residents can draw their dreams.
The event's goal is to provide a safe space where participants can express their dreams and aspirations through music and visual art. Lany K. will perform songs about selflove, loss and resilience, amplifying the event's message of empowerment and hope. Attendees will be encouraged to write or draw their dream on the artwork which will remain in the KolenkitKas as a lasting reminder of the night.
